Tener's is 18 months old! Fun & Cute as ever~ Little miss personality & sass!
Rhino & motorcycle rides keep her entertained for hours.
Goes up & down the stairs, standing up already just holding onto the wall or rail. (makes me nervous a lot of the time)
Loves to play with babies.
Obsessed with books right now. She'll bring you certain books & she remembers what is in which book, so she just sits and says "puppy", "nana", whichever page she is looking for- until you turn to that page!
Anything she gets, she has to get one for Carter too. She will sit & say "Carrr" until you give her one to give to him too.Knows what it means when we say go potty, she stands at the potty just like the boys & says she is going "pee" :)
Folds her arms if you ask her to
Has almost all of her teeth, but been drooling like crazy lately more than ever!
Spitting imagine of Carter, loves to follow him around, annoy him, hit him, everything you can think of. He is good most the time of putting up with her, but they sure know how to push each others buttons!
If she wakes up from her nap & knows Carter is sleeping, she says "shhh" (while holding her finger on her lips) & will talk in a whisper to me. So cute!
If you say something is mommy's, daddy's or Carter's & it is hers she says "no mine"
climbs on everything, loves to get up on the toilet & try & get a drink of water like Carter does.
Absolutely loves to show off to anyone who comes over, or anyone new around her.Totally is miss independent. She likes to do everything all by herself.
Loves hot dogs & noodles. She lived on hot dogs for a couple of months I swear that was the only thing she would eat. She knew where they were in the fridge & would bring them to us saying 'hot dog'
Very good at throwing tantrums & pouting!Knows just what to do to get attention! But once she gets every ones attention she turns her head into me & is shy!
Hard to take shopping with you anywhere because she pouts when you make her put things back (total opposite from when Cub was this age)
She loves to give moochies, she'll pucker up her lips & give you big kisses. Tells everyone bye & blows them kisses.
She always wants to get in the tub no matter what time of day it is, but lately she likes to dump the water outside the tub on the rug, probably because she knows it is naughty! She can & will say whatever you tell her to say. She talks a lot , her favorites are daddy, carrrr(Carter), mommy, puppy & kitty, she can even say Gran-ma almost sounds just like grandma.
LOVES daddy, if daddy is home she wants him 24-7 until it is bedtime. She'll go anywhere with him & be happy as can be!
She is obsessed with shoes, she'll get any shoes & try & put them on & walk around.
She knows what coat, socks, shoes, shirt, all that means when getting dressed.
Can go put things in the garbage, get Carter's backpack, pretty much anything we tell her to do she is smart enough to go get it/do it.If you act sad, she'll instantly come give you a hug & kiss.
Every time we drop Carter off at preschool, right when I get back in the car she says "Carr" & I tell her "he is at school", she says "ohhh" its too cute!Asks for daddy about 10 times a day, LOVES daddy & going anywhere with him
I have to turn Dora on, to be able to get her hair done, & if she runs away, I act sad & she comes right back :) *doesn't like her hair done, most of the time*
LOVES puppies & kitties,if she sees them anywhere when we are driving she will sit & say it the rest of the ride & wants to go back.
She tells Carter "no, no" a lot. Its really cute. He says "yes" & she will tell him "no, no" over & over.
Blows in her noodles,Carter & Tenley both think it is hilarious, they get so excited to see noodles on their plates for dinner :)She loves to ride Carter. He will say "Tenley wanna go for a ride" & she will jump right on his back & cruise her around.
Wants to go places or be outside all day. She hates sitting in the house. So as soon as she hears the word go, she brings you her shoes & coat & is ready in a heartbeat! Will tell you when she has pooped, or else she will tell you "no poop" teasing us.
When she wakes up in the mornings she never cries, she sits & yells "mom" -every time she wakes up from a nap she is as happy as can be.
Still goes to bed between 7 & 7:30 & sleeps til about 7:30 in the morning too! Takes one long nap at about noon or 1.
Loves her blanki, binki & stuffed puppies. Wants to take them in the car whenever we are going somewhere.
She isn't quite into t.v. or cartoons yet, but will watch Dora for maybe one minute & then is burnt out. She'll sit up by Carter when he is watching a movie & eat popcorn with him. But she is more concerned about doing what he is doing & being like him then actually watching the movie :)
Knows how to play peek-a-boo & hide & seek!
We wouldn't change our little sassy princess for the world! She is as cute as it gets & we love her more than anything!!

Justin's 27th B-Day/Zac Brown Concert
Justin turned 27 on January 17th. Kinda crazy, 27 sounds so old for some reason! Anyways, the kids & I surprised him at his work with balloons, heart cookies & his favorite mocha drink! Then we took him to lunch... A couple days before his birthday he WON Zac Brown Band tickets. So we chilled & hung out with the kiddos the night of his birthday-but on January 21st we went down to the concert at the Maverick Center. We met up with Jake & Christina, & her sister & fiance. I forgot my camera *was totally bummed* so no pictures. Sonia Leigh & Nic Cowan opened for him- Zac Brown wasn't the best concert putter oner but we love all of his songs & it was free- so it was still a great time!! Happy Birthday love!

Cub's Big Boy Bed
Justin & I, well mainly I have been wanting Justin to build Carter a bed for a few months now *that's how all of our projects go around here, I have plenty of ideas I'm just not able to do the labor:)* but we figured we better sell his crib first :( So once it sold, Justin got right to work! According to Justin it turned out "not being as bad as he thought it was going to be" & it looks amazing!Carter loved going out to the garage & helping cut the pieces & getting it all set out. A lot of the work was done in the kitchen once the cutting was done since the garage was freezing! Carter helping hammer the nails all the way in! Tenley thinking the bed was a jungle gym, just like everything else :)
Almost finished! Just need to paint it...
All done & in his room! He looks so tiny in it when I tuck him in at night, but he sure loves it!! Thanks to Justin for being such a woodsman :) *he's built us a headboard since*

Big "OW-EEEE"
While we were working on Carter's bed one night. Tenley was already exhausted but we decided to let her stay up & let her hang out. Carter & Justin had just drilled 4 little holes in the side of his bed, not thinking anything of it, they just set the drill down. Little miss observer Teners walked over & grabbed the drill bit :(She cried & cried for probably an hour & just wanted me to hold a cold rag on it. It was the saddest thing because she never cries & is such a tough girl. For the next week or two she would show everyone her hand & say "oww-ee"... & now every time she sees the drill, its an instant sad face while saying "hottt" & "oww-ee". She ended up biting the blisters off a few days later *yuck*!

Dipping away!
The other day when I came back into the kitchen. I found Tenley sitting at the table doing this. Yes she got the salsa out of the fridge all by herself, had found "Dac" & "Taycee's" picture in the drawer, climbed up on the chair & started dipping away. I had given her a chip was all...She's showing you how "big" she is :) ..Little miss independent can do it all...

Winter Picnic!
On January 5th we went up to the Basin on a rhino ride with Grandma Skippy for a picnic! Carter had swimming & preschool that morning so he was a little out of it & tired. He was so excited to go & look for animals but right after we had ate lunch & got back in the rhino for a ride- he was out! When we got back to the house , he woke up & was mad he missed the whole ride so he made grandpa take him for another short ride, awake this time! *You can tell how much fun rhinos rides are for them every single time*The weather was just about right considering it being January. A little bit chilly, but not bad bundled up! And muddy, just what the kids love!!
I looked back on the way home & seen the kids holding hands & Tenley totally out of it, they are always melting my heart!

Ten's 1st Black Eye
On January 4th Tenley got her first black eye. The little neighbor boy *Carter's new sidekick* that we babysit on Monday & Wednesdays now accidentally kicked her in the face with his snow boots, & it just skidded down her whole eye! Ouch! :(She is such a tough girl-Justin & I always talk about how much tougher she is going to be than Carter ever was as a baby/toddler, because she puts up with a lot around our house :)

Cardon Christmas
The day after Christmas we headed out to my parents house for one more Christmas sha-bang :) Had a yummy ham & potato lunch, then off to opening presents- I think its harder for the older kids to wait than it is our own little two!!Carter in his cashiers apron- playing with Taycee & Tracy- he loves this toy, & learned the different coin names.
My parents with the grand kids, they do so much for every single one of them!
They gave Carter this adorable moose hat & when we got home, Tenley came in with the hat on riding her new pony, eating a cookie!! Never a dull moment with my kids around! Thanks for the great memories & presents Cardon crew!!!

Christmas!!!
Christmas was a ton of fun this year, we didn't have any family parties to go to, so it was just our family of 4 all day. My parents rode out to see what the kids got & visit is all! The kids woke up at about 7:30, Tenley didn't quite understand the whole Santa deal, but she knew he said "ho, ho, ho" & had been saying it for weeks! She kind of just wandered around wondering why we had so many presents in the front room, she'd open one & then sit & watch Carter! Carter would open every present & say "this is just what I wanted!" He was so sweet to Tenley & would stop opening his own presents to help her & get her excited!
Later Christmas day we watched the Packer game & just relaxed as a family!
We love these little rug rats more than anything, makes you realize & think about the true meaning of Christmas!

Santa's Cookies
When we got home from Clifton, it was time to make Santa's cookies- Carter frosted them all by himself & didn't want any help!!!
Good thing Santa doesn't mind a little Carter germs because after each cookie he licked his knife clean :)

Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve is a tradition with the Johnson side of the family so we headed out to Clifton to my Grandparents house... Dinner & present exchange. Tenley was a little ham, spitting & running away from everyone. She loves to try & keep up with the bigger kids! Tenley got really mad at Mandy for not opening her present right when she got it (youngest to oldest with present opening) hitting, pulling her hair, telling her "no" -she wanted to open it right then & was determined to get it opened- She got a pony set & a pony you can put in the tub with you! Such a stink!Carter got a Toy Story bowling set & Car/Toy Story reading book set! It's nice that he now realizes how to wait his turn & is patient!
The kids love running around with cousins they don't get to see as often as we would like!! My grandma Johnson gave the grand kids those cute monkeys that Carter is holding, both kids love them & sleep with them every night! Thanks for the great company Johnson family!

Perry Christmas
We rode out to Justin's parents on Friday December 23rd. His mom made an awesome Prime Rib dinner, everyone just hung out, & opened presents!! Grandma Skippy with Shae & Carter!Grandpa entertained the kids with Twister while dinner was being finished! Tenley helped spin the wheel while Carter & Shae played :)
It seems like the kids always want the presents that aren't theirs :) Tenley on Dylan's scooter & Dylan with Shae's vacuum...
Carter was very excited (understatement) to get some board games! *We play them on a daily basis*
Tenley loved all her new toys, phone, lunch box, tea set. She is happy with any new toy to pack around! She got really into opening presents, would tear them right open!! Thanks to the Perry clan for such a great night!

Making Christmas Candy!
We went out to Grandma with Skippy's on December 21st to make some Christmas candy! Carter couldn't wait to make the white chocolate covered pretzels, he always want to buy them, so I told him we could make some & give them to his little friends for Christmas! He was really excited but once we got out there he was more excited to play with Grandpa, we had to talk him into making them at first- then he really got into it & loved sprinkling the Christmas colored sparkles on them!Grandma made some delicious cherry chocolate, that I ended up eating the whole plate of & some oreo balls covered with white chocolate-which Justin ate all of :)! So good! Tenley of course was a stink :) She is such a handful, into everything she possibly can be! She definitely keeps everyone on their toes *her face says it all :)*- she loves to "help"! Thanks for inviting us out & making treats Grandma Skippy!

12 days of Christmas!
My mom has done the 12 days of Christmas for the kids these past 2 years. They absolutely love it. I was worried Carter would want to open them all at once, but he reminded me every morning "mom, we get to open one of grandmas presents" - we just hid them from Tenley because she knew all about opening presents & would have been tempted all day long!!They got coloring books, balls, guns, books, treats, earings...It was nice because they'd have something to do for that day-that they were excited about! Thanks mom & dad, we appreciate everything you do for them!
