Winter Picnic!

On January 5th we went up to the Basin on a rhino ride with Grandma Skippy for a picnic! Carter had swimming & preschool that morning so he was a little out of it & tired. He was so excited to go & look for animals but right after we had ate lunch & got back in the rhino for a ride- he was out! When we got back to the house , he woke up & was mad he missed the whole ride so he made grandpa take him for another short ride, awake this time! *You can tell how much fun rhinos rides are for them every single time*The weather was just about right considering it being January. A little bit chilly, but not bad bundled up! And muddy, just what the kids love!!
I looked back on the way home & seen the kids holding hands & Tenley totally out of it, they are always melting my heart!

Ten's 1st Black Eye

On January 4th Tenley got her first black eye. The little neighbor boy *Carter's new sidekick* that we babysit on Monday & Wednesdays now accidentally kicked her in the face with his snow boots, & it just skidded down her whole eye! Ouch! :(She is such a tough girl-Justin & I always talk about how much tougher she is going to be than Carter ever was as a baby/toddler, because she puts up with a lot around our house :)

Cabin with the Cardon's

Christmas Eve day we went to Bear Lake with my dad's side of the family. My grandparents always have the most meaningful things planned for the Christmas Parties. This year my grandma read the Grinch that Stole Christmas to all the little ones, because she didn't have time to get out & Christmas shop this year-& she felt bad! We drew numbers for new shoes that she had had stored in her house for years (from when us grand kids were little)...

The famous stair pictures at the cabin! The kids got to play with my cousin Anthonys kids which we hadn't seen in a long time! I love my grandma & grandpa Cardon! They are such great people & I look up to them for everything they've done throughout the years!!!

Cardon Christmas

The day after Christmas we headed out to my parents house for one more Christmas sha-bang :) Had a yummy ham & potato lunch, then off to opening presents- I think its harder for the older kids to wait than it is our own little two!!Carter in his cashiers apron- playing with Taycee & Tracy- he loves this toy, & learned the different coin names.
My parents with the grand kids, they do so much for every single one of them!They gave Carter this adorable moose hat & when we got home, Tenley came in with the hat on riding her new pony, eating a cookie!! Never a dull moment with my kids around! Thanks for the great memories & presents Cardon crew!!!

Christmas!!!

Christmas was a ton of fun this year, we didn't have any family parties to go to, so it was just our family of 4 all day. My parents rode out to see what the kids got & visit is all! The kids woke up at about 7:30, Tenley didn't quite understand the whole Santa deal, but she knew he said "ho, ho, ho" & had been saying it for weeks! She kind of just wandered around wondering why we had so many presents in the front room, she'd open one & then sit & watch Carter! Carter would open every present & say "this is just what I wanted!" He was so sweet to Tenley & would stop opening his own presents to help her & get her excited! Later Christmas day we watched the Packer game & just relaxed as a family! We love these little rug rats more than anything, makes you realize & think about the true meaning of Christmas!

Santa's Cookies

When we got home from Clifton, it was time to make Santa's cookies- Carter frosted them all by himself & didn't want any help!!!Good thing Santa doesn't mind a little Carter germs because after each cookie he licked his knife clean :)

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is a tradition with the Johnson side of the family so we headed out to Clifton to my Grandparents house... Dinner & present exchange. Tenley was a little ham, spitting & running away from everyone. She loves to try & keep up with the bigger kids! Tenley got really mad at Mandy for not opening her present right when she got it (youngest to oldest with present opening) hitting, pulling her hair, telling her "no" -she wanted to open it right then & was determined to get it opened- She got a pony set & a pony you can put in the tub with you! Such a stink!Carter got a Toy Story bowling set & Car/Toy Story reading book set! It's nice that he now realizes how to wait his turn & is patient! The kids love running around with cousins they don't get to see as often as we would like!! My grandma Johnson gave the grand kids those cute monkeys that Carter is holding, both kids love them & sleep with them every night! Thanks for the great company Johnson family!

Perry Christmas

We rode out to Justin's parents on Friday December 23rd. His mom made an awesome Prime Rib dinner, everyone just hung out, & opened presents!! Grandma Skippy with Shae & Carter!Grandpa entertained the kids with Twister while dinner was being finished! Tenley helped spin the wheel while Carter & Shae played :)It seems like the kids always want the presents that aren't theirs :) Tenley on Dylan's scooter & Dylan with Shae's vacuum...Carter was very excited (understatement) to get some board games! *We play them on a daily basis*Tenley loved all her new toys, phone, lunch box, tea set. She is happy with any new toy to pack around! She got really into opening presents, would tear them right open!! Thanks to the Perry clan for such a great night!

Making Christmas Candy!

We went out to Grandma with Skippy's on December 21st to make some Christmas candy! Carter couldn't wait to make the white chocolate covered pretzels, he always want to buy them, so I told him we could make some & give them to his little friends for Christmas! He was really excited but once we got out there he was more excited to play with Grandpa, we had to talk him into making them at first- then he really got into it & loved sprinkling the Christmas colored sparkles on them!Grandma made some delicious cherry chocolate, that I ended up eating the whole plate of & some oreo balls covered with white chocolate-which Justin ate all of :)! So good! Tenley of course was a stink :) She is such a handful, into everything she possibly can be! She definitely keeps everyone on their toes *her face says it all :)*- she loves to "help"! Thanks for inviting us out & making treats Grandma Skippy!

12 days of Christmas!

My mom has done the 12 days of Christmas for the kids these past 2 years. They absolutely love it. I was worried Carter would want to open them all at once, but he reminded me every morning "mom, we get to open one of grandmas presents" - we just hid them from Tenley because she knew all about opening presents & would have been tempted all day long!!They got coloring books, balls, guns, books, treats, earings...It was nice because they'd have something to do for that day-that they were excited about! Thanks mom & dad, we appreciate everything you do for them!

Rhino Sledding

There has only been pretty much one big snow storm of the year & its February, pretty crazy. But back on November 19th when it had snowed quite a bit- Justin went out to pull Carter & Tenley behind the rhino... The neighbor girls were watching from their window, so we decided to invite them out! They all had such a good time, we even made them a little jump off of the sidewalk! Carter just laughs in the sled the whole time & never wants to go in the house, luckily the neighbor girls were the same way, they sled for hours!!Tenley got to go on her first sled ride, she wasn't so sure about it at first but then didn't want out either! Every time someone else would get in the sled she would say "no" & want back in. She'll do anything to be outside!

Bowling with Corbin

Carter couldn't wait to take his neighbor friend Corbin with him bowling. -clear back on December 9th, ya I'm just a little behind:) - They have became quite good friends & Carter is asking for Corbin to come over constantly. They are only 3 days apart & play so well together!The bowling aisle was packed with a ward party & Tenley was tired right as we got there (7 o'clock bedtime) so the night became a little hectic right off the bat:) Carter slipped as he was going to bowl & the ball fell right on top of his right hand, so he ended up having to bowl left handed :( poor little guy! Tenley also dropped a bowling ball on Justin's foot, no big deal right only 8 lbs , HA!Can never end a bowling trip without playing the hunting game :)!This is Tenley to a "T" she wants to be doing whatever Carter is doing & being just like him! Right when we got home she had to have a wrap & ice too! *When she is older she is going to wonder why we never have good pictures of her, maybe because she yells "no", doing her dorky cheese smile or won't hold still for more than 2 seconds, she is into everything always*
They ended up having a good time even with the hecticness & they said "we both won!!

Tenley has been saying "ya" for a few weeks now. You'll ask her a question & she says "ya" in the cutest little voice. She is getting so smart & is a total girl & diva still. She loves to follow me around, put on make up, sweep, do whatever I am doing. We love having a little girl around the house!!

Christmas Tree

This year getting a Christmas tree there were no catastrophes, thank goodness! We had a safe trip & Carter loved hiking up into the mountains this year with daddy searching for the perfect tree {as long as dad stayed in his site}...It was a workout for dad carrying the saw, tree, & Carter down out of the deep snow :)We didn't want to get a tree too early knowing Tenley would be a handful trying to keep her away from it daily...The kids had fun hanging the ornaments on the tree! I love doing a real tree & letting the kids do their own thing with it {we will have many years of older kids & "nicer" trees later in life, mine as well let the kids enjoy it while they care to} It was one of the funnest things for the kids to do & Carter was so excited when we told him he could do whatever he wanted with it!! He loved plugging the Christmas lights in every night, & having the tree light up the front room!
I didn't end up taking a final photo because Tenley is a little too energetic to say the least, but it ended up being just the right size & the kids did a great job & only 2 or 3 ornaments got broken between the first of Dec & Christmas :)!

Santa Claus

My mom & I took the kids to Wendi's parents cabin to see Santa! Carter was really excited & had been waiting all day...When we walked in Carter got a little nervous & started to cry {little cabin, so pretty close to Santa right when you walk in}after I explained 'santa' to him for a minute-he calmed right down~was brave & went over & talked to him!Carter told Santa he wants an RC car & a gun... Tenley on the other hand- wasn't a fan at all... I kind of figured she was at the age where she would freak out~but with her being so friendly I thought she'd maybe give him a chance...NOPE! Even with me holding her-she didn't want to be close to him :)!We love going to see Santa every year & seeing what kind of reactions we get out of which kid!!!

Tay sleep-over!

Justin & I took the boys {Dac & Trent} to the USU Football game, while my parents watched the kiddos. We told Taycee she could sleep over & it seems like everytime she comes to sleep over its night time & we pretty much go to bed, & then she goes home the next morning. So even though Carter was REALLY exhausted. I decided to take Tay & Cub bowling while Justin stayed home with sleeping Teners. After Carter had woken up from sleeping the whole way home, Tay & I finally got him talked into going bowling. We get to the bowling alley & he wants George & Woody {very random because I don't ever let him take them in ANYWHERE}...we drove back home to get them & I let him take them in {even though right as we walk thru the door , he wants me to hold them} Anyways, ended up being a really fun night for the 2 of them & Taycee actually got to do something fun this time when she slept over!! Love ya Taytor Bug!

Festival of Lights

Friday night we went to the Festival of Lights. We got bundled up in snow clothes so it wasn't super cold & got us a hot cocoa. Both of the kids actually got really into the parade & lights this year...We tried to keep Tenley sitting on the curb because she liked to get a little too far out in the road saying "santa" & "pretty" while following after the floats!!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we did our own family dinner on Thanksgiving day-both Justin & I were a little nervous to cook our very own turkey dinner, but we decided to go full out & did it all! All the food turned out delicious & we got to spend the day relaxing doing what we love~watching the Packers {beat the Lions}!!!It was really nice to be at our own house, letting the kids nap when they wanted & just being able to be together as our little family!! We're thankful for so much! That night we sat down & watched Charlie Brown Thanksgiving & Ice Age Christmas. Love that kid! & then we did my families Thanksgiving on Sunday. Ate another yummy Thanksgiving dinner, then spent the rest of the day playing the wii. {trying} to dance & mainly playing mario! We're so thankful for close family!

Boys Night Out

Justin took Carter on their first official boys night out on Friday, they went to see Cars 2 & played games at the Fun Park! Carter was extatic & couldn't wait for daddy to get home from work -he kept telling Tenley "your not coming sis, just me & dad- its okay -maybe you can come next time" They got their pictures taken in the little photo booth!! {Carter's first time as you can tell, he kept looking at the numbers counting down instead of the screen- after Justin was trying to show him where & when to look}These two are like peas in a pod & always have SO much fun together! Boys night is a monthly routine from here on out! Tenley & I of course love the girls night to ourselves, she's one entertaining girl...Glad the boys love bonding time as much as us girls do :)!!!

Daddy's Girl

Just this past week Tenley has turned into a total Daddy's Girl! She wants him to hold her constantly when he gets home from work, she wants to go with him where ever he goes, & she runs to him first thing when she gets an "aww ehh"... She will sit & beg for him to hold her until he gives in :)!Helping him put his boots on~ cause she knows she gets to go with!It's too cute to see daddy with his little girl after rough & tough Cub!!

Carter's "Chart"

A few weeks ago we made Carter a little chart because there were a few things we thought he could "work" on. He wasn't fully potty trained at night {still had accidents randomly}, mean & too rough with Tenley sometimes, Going thru the 'didn't want to listen stage' & working on being more polite ~the main things~ So Carter & I sat down & made him a little chart... -each night after Tenley was in bed we'd decide what he deserved a sticker for that day {it was so cute to see how excited he would get when it was chart time & through out the day he'd say things like, "i'm being so nice to Teners mom, so I get a sticker"} The chart definetly worked & he was rewarded! We let him choose & of course it was pool, arcade games & bowling! {his fav} with a hot choco afterwards...He is a definite 3 year old but it seemed to help & we'll be making another chart soon :)

Tenley

Tenley is at the adorable stage where you could just sit & watch her all day long - laugh & adore all the cute things she does. She has been playing "peek-a-boo" for about a month now & she can say it clear as day in her innocent little voice. She loves to rock a bye, she'll get her babies & pack them around singing "bock a bye baby"- loves to sit in the banana chair while she sings & we rock her. My mom gave her this little bed for her babies but every since she's had it she thinks its funner for her to be in there 'bock a bying' :) -saying cheese in this pic-She's been saying "MOMMY" for awhile, its not a quiet little "mommy" its a high pitch scream & she especially loves to do it while we are driving in the car- She is getting better though & is actually only saying it when she wants me or needs something :) She waddles around like a pegiun when you say "peguin walk a peguin walk" -not sure where she came up with that one- She loves to pack her lotions around, she carries them around with her constantly {trying to eat it} She loves hot dogs, cheese, & bananas, she isn't a picky eater at all but she harly ever wants to eat anything! She still loves to dance, its cutest when she is in her car seat & she wiggles her little body back & forth while shaking both of her hands. We're trying to break her away from the binki right now {it stays in her crib} hoping to have it gone soon! Whenever Carter tells her "no" almost 99% of the time, she will cry-even if he tells her nicely... she is such a drama queen!! She is very smart & very independent {knows what she wants when she wants it!} But we love having a little princess running around the house & all the girly stuff :)!

Halloween!

This year Halloween was kinda chill compared to previous years, it was nice to not be driving all over town to family members {they seen kids the night before} & Justin's parents came to us! We actually were able to just let Carter & Tenley run around & Trick-or-Treat {what halloween is all about}. We met up with some of our friends & their kids & let all the kids run wild up & down a few blocks! {perfect Halloween weather}Tenley is obsessed with bugs & is always saying "bug" so we thought a lady bug would be perfect & {warm} for her. Carter chose to be Buzz, since he's been watching Toy Story quite often! "Infinite & Beyond" {his favorite saying}Carter had a lot of fun running around with all of his little friends! Trick-or-Treating gets funner for him every year! He was glad it was finally time to be outside going house to house!Tenley kinda just hung back & looked at the decoration & pumpkins in peoples yards! She wasn't afraid of any of it, even the scary people in masks! She was all about checking it all out!Had to get a picture of big brother helping little Teners Trick-or-Treat. He really is the sweetest brother around {when he wants to be}- Satisfying Halloween with way too much candy to eat now!!!

Qwest Trick-or-Treating

Friday night we went trick-or-treating at Qwest. My cousin Mandy works there & has invited us for the past two years, its so much fun for the kids to be inside, be able to stay warm, run around & just have fun!! Tenley was hilarious~she carried her own bag the whole time {got pretty heavy towards end} & everytime they'd put candy in it, she'd stair down in the bag while walking {waddling with her big ladybug bum}! Carter was really cute with her~making sure she never got left behind!All the (great) grandkids that were able to make it! The kids got lots of candy {handfuls at each stop} Grandma & Grandpa Johnson & Buppy both got to see the kids dressed up- so this year we'll be able to stay in town & just trick-or-treat instead of driving all over! We're excited about that! Thanks for inviting us Mandy! Our kids had a really fun time!!!

Carving Pumpkins!

Its funny how much kids change in just a year! Carter was pumped {understatement} all night long & kept begging us to get carving, so finally we let him draw a face on the pumpkin with daddy to chill him out for a minute:)Its so cute how excited he gets over holidays now! Daddy was the carver & Cub & I were the gutters! While Tenley just pulled on my legs saying "mommmy"... :) Carter actually didn't mind the guts this year & would dig right in! We gave Tenley a few seeds to play with but she wasn't about to stick her hand inside the pumpkin!Tenley was happy just sitting there playing with the pumpkins, she of course didn't get the whole carving thing!Proud Carter with his pumpkin!By the time we got them outside & lite up , Tenley was beyond tired {7 bedtime} so she had had enough!Carter can't wait to actually go trick-or-treating! Should be a fun Halloween!!!

Pumpkin Walk!

We went down to dinner at Winger's & to the Pumpkin Walk with the Corbridge's!! We were really worried it was going to be super cold & super busy because it was the last night but it wasn't really either!Carter had to touch every pumpkin that was sitting on the straw bails & when I told him to stand right "here" to get a picture he 95% of the time went right into the scene! :)We rode the bus & Carter thought that was awesome! Probably the highlight of his night, haha! Dad packed Tenley around but she even got into it~ dancing to the musics & checking out the "pretty" pumpkins. Carter was all about the whole thing from the second we got there! Dancing, jumping around, telling us what the pumpkins & scenes were...
Tenley wasn't so sure about these cutout deals {as you can tell by her face} Carter had to get his picture taken in almost every single one, even the ones he couldn't reach! :) The Pooh scene was our favorite! What a fun night out!!!

Jason Aldean!

Justin won tickets on 106.9 the Eagle to JASON ALDEAN! {10/22/2011} We both are obsessed with Jason Aldean & love every song on his new c.d. so we were WAY excited to go! My parents watched the kids {Thanks! Tenleys a hard one at nights} Our room was right in the parking lot of the Maverik Center, so we got to watch & listen to all the crazies before & after the concert!! Thompson Square & Chris Young opened for him. {They both have a couple really good songs} He put on a great show & nothing better than winning free tickets!!! Always nice to have a little get away just Justin & I!

Coloring!

Carter got a Halloween coloring contest picture from the local grocery store & couldn't wait to bring it home & get it colored. So that night Justin & Cub sat up to the table & he colored the whole picture all by himself {Justin helped him pick out which colors to use} He is a very good colorer for his age {staying in the lines} & its so cute to watch him & see how "into" it he gets {if there are any white spots left or he misses tiny spots-he'll see them & fix it}He complained his hand was tired a few times & would take a rest-he's too cute!!!

Tener's Hair

Tenley's hair is getting long. It can fit into 3 ponytails. This was the first time I have actually done it just because I love to curl the back & put a bow on top. She looks darling with ponytails in, but it makes her look so much older :(!She sits somewhat still & says "aww ehh" "aww ehh" the whole time i'm trying to get the elastic in :)! Doing little girl hair is a new thing to me, i'm gonna have to google some cute hair-dos!

Huntin' Buds!

Carter came hunting a few times with Justin & I this year & actually got to see quite a few animals. I think the funniest one was the elk running up & down the hills with a tarp in his horns, you don't see that very often :)! He also seen the moose, herd of elk, & a whole bunch of deer! He gets so excited about coming & has finally learned how to keep quiet!! We were up there when the leaves were really pretty too, so that made it fun for him! Not once did he ever wake up not excited to go~even if he was just hanging out with Gma & Gpa Skippy{hunting almost everyday for about 3 months!} He is a good kiddo & we love our huntin' buddy!!!

Justin's Deer

Justin got a 4X4 deer.{10/22/2011} He went up Saturday morning by himself because I was trying to get the kids & I ready to leave for the Jason Aldean concert. Seen them skyline so he hiked up & the big deer jumped over the hill so he decided to shoot this 4X4. He's not a bad deer.Carter is Justin's little hunting buddy. He loved coming with us this year!Tenley was SO excited to see the deer when Justin got back. She was trying to lift it up, making noises at it, poking it, everything you can think of. {Carter was scared of deer heads at this age, & she is totally opposite} Thinkin' maybe i'll have a hunting buddy of my own when she gets bigger :)!

Corn Stalk & Pumpkin Night

The whole family went out to get corn stalks for house decor. {10/20/2011} Carter helped Justin cut them down & pack them to the truck-he is daddy's littl sidekick & always has a plan for what they are going to do! Carter & Justin went & picked some pumpkins out too. Carter is all about Halloween this year & thinks everyday is "pumpkin day"...Then we bundled the kiddos & let them stay out & help us put the pumpkins out & corn stalks up on the house!Now our house is cute & decorative for Halloween! & the kids had a blast running around outside, getting dirty & helping!

My Deer

It's been a long hunting season for us with bow season and all, well I think mainly the kiddos! I shot a deer {10/15/11} opening morning of elk. We were on our way out- done hunting for the day & seen this buck! 'He's a 3X4. Biggest one i've shot yet...Carter was pumped to finally see that we had something dead when we got back down to Gma & Gpa Skippy's! {after all this hunting & nothing being shot , I think he was getting burnt out} Tenley was crashed on the couch. The hunting mornings have been a little rough for her & morning nap time! So we're glad to have one animal down :)

Circus!

We took the kids to the Circus here in Logan {10/13/11} We all had free passes so we figured what the helk. So glad we went! We went early & got really good seats! I think Carter's favorite part was the boxing kangaroo, he seemed to be into the whole circus though & was quiet entertained!! He had his ears covered every time the clowns would come out because he thought it was going to be loud again! Tenley was a lot more into it than I thought she would be, she loved seeing the goats & llamas up close & touching them & would dance to all the stunts & music. She got burnt out about the last 10 minutes is all...The next few days after the circus when we would get into the car Carter would see the tons of extra circus passes & say "mom, I want to go to this circus everyday with all these passes". I think we all had a good time!!!

Fun Park!

My kids can't ever get enough of the Fun Park. Grandma with Buppy had a day off & decided to take us! {10/03/2011} Carter's favorites are the ski-ball & shooting baskets. He's getting better at the ski-ball to where he can actually make it to the top & get some decent points! He loves putting all of his tickets in the machine by himself & picking out his treats & prizes!Tenley is content with wondering around & holding a few balls here & there...but when she noticed the dancing machine she got right up on it & just started dancing away, stomping her feet on the icons like she knew what she was doing, it was hilarious!! Thanks mom for the fun day!

Tenley Doings!

Tenley is such a hoot! She is comedy at this age right now {14 months}. She can say lots of things her favorites are hot, prettttty, babbbby, bug, mommmmy, hi, aww eee, She knows where her eyes, hair, piggies,bum, belly button, & beep beep {nose} are. She's getting super smart. She can also say "please" & "thanks". You can tell her to go get something or do something & she knows exactly what you are saying & she'll go do it. She loves to be outside. She brings me her shoes & jacket a few times through out the day because she wants to go out. Loves to get the broom & help sweep. Gives high fives & knows that it means she did a good job, so does it with a huge grin on her face! Constantly irritating Carter :) (guess that's what sisters are for) Goes to bed at 7 & will sleep til about 8 {if Carter doesn't go up & wake her~usually wants to everyday} Loves when daddy gets home & usually shows off for about 5 minutes for him. When Carter laughs at her, she thinks she is the funniest thing around. Still a total dancing queen!~she can be crying but if she hears music she will stop & bust some moves~ Loves reading books, she'll bring you a few at a time. Always happy & smiling. Likes to ride on dad & chase Carter or run away while the boys chase her! Loves cuddling mommy & always wants mommy when tired! We love our little diva princess!!!

Wyoming Camping!

We made the trek clear over to Wyoming to go camping with Jake & Christina (10/01/11) SO much fun!! We decided to do one last camping trip before it was too cold out! It was so pretty up there-the leaves were all changing, lots of kids Carter's age, lots of rhino rides & getting dirty! {what the kids totally love} Saturday morning we woke up early of course, & went on a rhino ride as a family! A little chilly but so pretty & we seen deer up super close so Carter was in heaven! Tenley loves to ride in the back with Carter now & is constantly smiling while back there!The kids were entertained almost the whole time camping by the ramp on one of the couples trailers. They rode our little purple 4-wheeler down it, bikes, trikes, & then tried to push this big 4-wheeler up the ramp!All the kids tried to get it up there, they got so close a few times but never did make it all the way up :)Taylee was so cute with Tenley. She would follow her & help her do whatever she wanted. Tenley would give her loves & kisses! Taylee was helping Teners throw rocks & Teners was just a laughin!Carter & Tayson were both really shy at first but by the end of the trip they were best buds & doing everything together! {they're so much alike}Saturday afternoon everybody (about 8 couples) all went for a ride up to the very top of the mountains where we were camping, we could see all the mountains in Wyoming & even some snow that was still there from last year! The kids slept til about 7:30 every morning, which was nice to actually get sleep while camping! The ride up & back wasn't as bad as we thought it was going to be, the kids were really good both ways. We had a really fun time & it was fun meeting all the Wyoming couples! Doesn't get any better than camping!!!

Tenley & I are lucky enough to get to go swimming with Carter every Thursday at the end of the month! September was the first time we went! (9/29/2011).I had told Carter that Tenley & I would be there in the swimming pool when he came in with his class, but I think he had forgotten... When he seen Tenley & I in the pool his face lit up & he came running to us! It was the cutest thing ever. I think he was mainly excited to have Tenley there. {such a cute stinkin' brother} "hi Teners" he yells! We got to swim with him & help him float on the boogie boards. I'd hold Carter on my back & carry Tenley in the deeper water, they laughed & had so much fun!! He was really timid with swimming for school at first, but now he loves it & is getting a little more daring each time! Tenley was a little pill, once it was time to get out & get dressed. She was running all over the place-having such a great time, & of course Carter thinks thats funny, so he chases her! I finally just set her up on the bench & locked her in one place :)Its perfect for us because school & swimming all in one fee! We're so glad he's loving school & is making some new little friends!!

USU Homecoming Parade!

We went to the USU Homecoming parade with my mom & Trent (9/24/2011). Since we had went to so many parades over the summer , Carter couldn't wait to actually be going to another one! It was warm this year which was so nice to not be freezing, but the sun was right in our eyes!Tenley was running around saying "hi" to everyone {her favorite thing to do}, smashing the "bugs" on the ground {stomping on them with her feet} & busting some moves when the music would go by. Carter was in heaven getting tons of candy, he chases it everywhere & even puts some of it Teners bag to share! He really gets into parades now that he realises what they are all about!

We went gofling a few weeks ago on (9/23/2011) it was perfect weather...The kids both love doing anything outside that keeps them entertained. Carter thought it was fun to ride in the golf cart like this...he loved it, especially when Justin would hit big bumps & he'd get bounced all around!The kids found the sand & Carter knows its a 'no, no'- so he'd lift Tenley out to fix it ... & of course, she'd be right back in it within seconds...This picture is comedy~We got pro Cub in the background golfing away, & dad obviously done with that hole trying to get Teners to get out of the sand :) & I'm just sit back & enjoying myself!Half the time golfing is spent just chasing the kids & letting them have a good time!! We wouldn't have it any other way!

The local bowling alley opened a few weeks ago & once Carter knew it was open we obviously were going! So on a colder night last week we went (9/14/11). Carter is getting pretty good at bowling (well, he kind of chucks it- not rolls it)We taught him how to put his fingers in the ball right & he thought that was pretty cool!This was Tenley's first time of being old enough to get down & check out the whole "bowling experience" she rolled the ball one time & clapped for herself...then was back to climbing on the ball rolling thing, & scooting herself on the slick wood floors the whole time, which she thought was way funner... *she was entertained while we bowled so it worked out great* Carter is so cute & gets so excited when he even knocks just a few down!I'm sure we will be usuals at the bowling alley again this year, fun & cheap family nights!!!

My cute mom turned the big 50 on September 12th! So we threw a big SURPRISE 50th birthday party for her at Sizzler. Lots of planning from my dad & I, tons of texts & phone calls making sure everyones there on time, hiding their cars, & not letting my mom find out we were all going to be there!! We went down to Logan yesterday with Grandma Skippy, she needed to pick up her computer so we decided to make it a play date! Grandma bought Carter a turtle pillow pet, ever since Tenley got the lady bug for her birthday ,Carter had been claiming it- so grandma got him his own...Then she took us to lunch at Chuck-a-rama, I had never been but it was really good food,the kids got restless after so long...Then we went to Willow Park. Carter loves the animals & would have sat there all day feeding the ducks & fish! Tenley even dared to stick her little fingers in there & feed them, but then she just started throwing the food all over because she seen Carter throwing it!! The weather is starting to cool off in the mornings & at nights so it's nice to get a little bit more outside playing in before its too chilly!! Thanks for the fun day!

1st Day of Pre-school!

Carter went to pre-school for his first day today! We got in the car to go & he took a drink of my sprite & then looks at me & says "mom I don't have a goober face now, do I" (thought he had a mustache from the drink) *he was so concerned about looking good* when we got to school , we checked him in with his card, he hung his backpack on the hook & I told him to "be good for his teacher & I'll be back to get him in a little while"- he smiled & said "ok"... I snuck in & watched the last 15 minutes of their "activity" They were doing somersaults, running through the rope ties, & playing red light, green light. He was so cute & such a good listener -we'll see how long that lasts:) ha ha. He just barely turned 3 in June so I think he is the very youngest in his class, it'll be good for him to meet new kids & just be away from mom for a few hours a week!
When sis & I picked him up he said "mom, what took ya so long" I don't think he was expecting me to be gone that long...He told me all about school (painted his name, read two books, ate bread, colored, & exercised) & he can't wait to go back on Thursday! So crazy he's old enough to be in pre-school, yet so fun!!

Since Dies got hit on the 4th of July :( we were bored Saturday & decided to go find the kids a kitten. Both of them can't get enough of it. Carter woke up Monday morning at 6, asking to let the kitty in the house & Tenley chases it everywhere it goes. They love it! It's a cute kitten, isn't 100% sure about the kids but will let them hold her & pet her then she kinda wants to run away :) We named her Sparkeler, cause she was born on the 4th of July! Tenley is 1 & on the go always :) She can crawl super fast, still in her goofy position. Will take a few steps & then sit down. Can stand up forever by herself. She likes me to hold her at the stores, doesn't like the cart unless she is entertained or eating something. Learned how to hit, pinch, grab, yank, everything you can think of to Carter *about time :)* LOVES babies, plays with them, crawls with them, sleeps with one, packs them, tubs with them. Always kissing them. Can say bug, hot, dad, mom, baby, baba, eyes. Loves to play with her shoes, she'll bring them to me so I can put them on her, & she carries them around with her, even tries to put our shoes on. Knows what the elk, cow, horse say. Knows where her eyes are. Loves to play on the metal trike, stands up on it even. Likes to jump on the tramp. Is always trying to keep up with Carter & do what Carter is doing. Loves to be outside. Eats sand & dirt on a daily basis. Everytime I flip the tub knob to let the water out, she pushes it back down & thinks shes hilarious. When she is done eating she just starts throwing everything off her tray. Loves her blanket & binky (night time) :/ hoping to get rid of that soon :) Isn't a very picky eater. Sleeps from about 7-7. Has 5 teeth (two top & three bottom). Says cheeeeese everytime I get the camera out..."cheeeese"Jams out to music no matter where she is-car seat, restaurant, home, everywhere. Climbs up on the couch & bangs on the blinds. She is a little comedian already just like her brother! We love you boopers!!!

Pre-School Orientation

Carter went to his pre-school orientation last night. I'm thinking he will enjoy pre-school! His teacher seems really nice. The active part of it will be awesome~ Since he'll be in pre-school for at least two years I think not all "learning" this year will be good on him! Plus i'm not sure he could sit still for 2 hours straight :)!Gave us a tour of all the places the kids will be, talked about what to expect from the kids & parents & then gave the kids a little snack of apples & crackers! Bear Lake Trip

We went over to the cabin this past weekend to Bear Lake. Justin wanted to get some bow hunting in & the kids & I wanted to get some beach time & relaxing away from home... The guys went out hunting every morning & night but only seen a few deer & a big moose. We went to the lake on Saturday afternoon-the kids loved the beach, its weird with the water being so high this year, you're swimming in weeds! Tenley was all about getting dirty & playing in the sand, she loved the water too & didn't even cry when Just washed all the sand off her naked...Carter & Just dug a big hole & Carter thought that was pretty sweet. It started to thunder, lightning & rain while we were there, so we decided to make it short & jet...Then we went out to eat at Cafe Sabor (thanks mom & dad). Saturday night Wendi & I went with the guys hunting, we seen a 3 point Just tired to sneak up on, but no luck!...Such a dust storm in the rhino, Just & I looked like mexicans when we got back to the cabin!The kids had fun walking buppy around on the deck, jumping off couches onto pillows, Wendi brought her 'school stuff' up so Carter pretty much was hooked to Wendi the whole time doing 'school things'...He's gonna love pre-school!No luck hunting but it was fun to get away from the house & enjoy Bear Lake!!!

Tenley has been full on walking for about a week now. Last Thursday (August 18th) she would take a few steps, laugh & fall..But over the weekend she has been running around like crazy & will stand up & walk all on her own. Now that she can walk she is into everything, even worse than she was before. Carter can really get her going too, love those two!!!

Carter Mutton Busted for the 1st time at the Bull Bonaza. We were on the way home from Justin hunting & were talking about how Shae was going to ride the sheep & instantly Carter said "I want to ride the sheep too" , he said that last time & we kinda just figured he could wait til next year since he is only 3, but this time he wouldn't drop it, he was all about doing it & was serious.
He was pumped all afternoon & had been practicing on Justin...but once we got to the fair grounds & he was in the chutes Justin said he had a pretty hard time of talking him into it~ after a couple minutes of crying, he got right on & held on :) He was the very first rider for the night!!

Here he is with his winnings~a dollar & a free pizza :) We recorded him after he was done , up in the stands & he says he will do it again at the next rodeo, so I'm glad it didn't traumatize him too bad!! What one tough kid, we're proud of him!!!

Tener's 1st Birthday

Little diva Tener's turned 1 on Saturday, August 13th...We had a little get together party Saturday afternoon. Tenley loved all the attention & I think she knew it was "her" day. She got tons of babies & she loves them! She also got a few outfits, baby basinet, ladybug pillow pet, sippies & a few other toys. She would freak out saying "babyy" until I would get them out of the box for her... She has turned into such a cute litte thing, she definetly still has her "girl diva attitude". She has way more sass than Cub every had!! She didn't dig into her cake quite like I thought she would..It took her a minute to even realise what it was, & then she'd just poke at it, never fully dug in...Sheri made her a really cute & yummy birthday cake & my mom made pink cupcakes! Thanks to everybody who came & spoiled her!!Happy 1st Birthday Tenley Boopers!!!

Cache Fair

My mom & I took the grand kids to the Cache fair.. My mom bought them all day ride passes & so they spent most the time doing that. The kids liked the slides the best~ and it was shaded so we were fine with that too :) Brown's amusement isn't the best though, they had height restrictions for the little kid rides & wouldn't let Dac & Tay even go on some of them. Carter loves the rides, he'd go on all of them if he was tall enough! They went on the lil roller coaster, the dragons, swings, slide,motorcycles, tractors, carousel, cars, train... We also walked around to the booths, played the free games, looked at the arts & all the animals! Carter loved the goats & Tenley didn't mind the animals, as long as we kept our distance & they didn't make any loud noises :) Even though we were all so exhausted from playing all day, including myself~ later that night the 3 munchkins insisted on going to the rodeo--so I took Carter, Dac & Tay...supringsly they stayed awake through the whole rodeo & even made it back to my parents {who were babysittin Teners} awake!!!

Fish Hatchery

Justin's parents took Carter, Shae, Tenley & I up to the fish hatchery in Grace. Carter & Shae thought that was so fun to see all the little fish & to get to feed them. We couldn't believe how many fish they had up there! I had never been to a fish hatchery, pretty interesting & neat!After the hatchery the kids played at the park while they grabbed some lunch. There actually ended up being a parade down "main street" at noon. So we ate lunch in the shade & then caught some candy at the parade... Then back to grandma & grandpa Skippies for some ice cream & more play!

Lovin' The Park

Just recently Carter LOVES the park. He did a total 3-60 on hating it/liking it over night I swear. At the first of the summer, he hated the park & hated going on the swings, down the slide everything...But just a few days ago we went over to the school park & he must have gotten a curly hair or something because he all the sudden LOVES everything about the park. He'll go down the steepest slide there is & wants to swing as high as you can get him to go on the swings. I'm loving it because now when we go to the parks he'll actually go play & not beg me to go down all the slides with him :)Tenley loves the park too, she likes to try & do everything herself~she's a little bit of a handful when I don't have daddy there to help...She'll crawl up & down the slides & would go down the slide head first if we'd let her. She loves to go down on her back & have daddy & Carter catch her at the bottom... We can't get enough of trips to the park!!!

Golfing

She loves to chase after their balls on the green trying to get to them before the boys can...Carter has his own clubs & really gets into it. He loves to sit on the putin practice green & make sure he hits it in every single hole before we leave...So fun!!!

Our Lazy Days

We've been doing lots of just playing outside lately. Both kiddos love to be outside. Lots of playing in the sand box, bike rides, rhino rides to see the goat & animals, slip n' sliding, running in the sprinklers, four-wheeler ridin', popsicles, watering flowers & trying to stay in the shade :) it's been so hot this summer I swear.I love being a stay at home mom more than anything. Just playing outside with the kids makes my day, everyday!!!

11 Months Old!

Ryan's Park

My mom & I took the kids to Ryan's park with some pizza, she met up with one of her co-workers & her kids. Carter thought that park was so cool & he loved being at the park with Dac & Tay (that way he'd go down slides & actually "play" at the park)

Campin' & Boatin'

My bros & I all went camping out to Newton over the weekend. The kids always have SO much fun camping between 4-wheeler & rhino rides, the food, fireworks, fishing, the mud it's a blast! My parents brought the boat out Saturday day & we boated for hours!! It was Ten's first time boating, she hated the life jacket & was such a wiggle worm on the boat (wanting down constantly) We had to find whatever we could to keep her entertained- She went on her first tube ride though & loved it, bouncing around being crazy with the kids!! She ended up bashing her face into cooler while on the boat, luckily just some blood & it wasn't her teeth *tough girl* Carter is already obsessed with the tube *loves to hit bumps & go fast* & now that Dac & Tay are old enough to knee board & ski they get burnt out on the tube fast! ~Tay's first time knee boarding & Dac is already doing 3-60's~ Saturday night it poured & poured-The kids had a blast playin' in the mud~so we threw Carter in Justin & Wendi's tub & ended up calling it a trip & came home!

Fishin'

We go fishin' out to the reservoirs at least once a week- it's our favorite little family get away. Ride the Rhino out to our same spot everytime! Now that its getting super hot the kids like to splash in the water! Not very often do we even catch fish but Cub can't get enough of fishin'!Anything outdoors Carter & Tenley both love!!

The 4th of July was a lot of fun! Just like every other year~The 4th is one of our favorites. We went out to Lewiston with all the family- Caught a ton of candy & let the kids enjoy the parade... After the parade walked through the park, Carter wasn't into the rides *we were glad because the lines were crazy over there* so we went over to the Theurer's & played basketball for free instead :) went home & took a nap *always needed :)
Later that night went back for a cook out...The kids had a blast playing on the tramp, swing set, bikes, basketball ~Then the adults had a volleyball brawl -very enjoyable- & then of course fireworks...By the time the fireworks started both kids were exhausted plus Carter freaked over the loud noises & hated the fireworks *Tenley actually fell asleep during them with daddy holding her* Thanks Theurer's for hosting such a fun 4th again this year!!!

Cruise In

We went to the cruise in with my family! It's getting lamer & lamer every year with the cars people think are "nice". It was super hot like usual. Carter liked checking the cars out for maybe the first 20 minutes then after that he was burnt out & ready to go!We see cars like that on a daily basis so to little kids its not that entertaining I've decided :)

Sweet Water

My parents & I drove over to Bear Lake with the 4 grand kids to Sweet Water on Sunday, we've decided we need a mini van so we all fit in one vehicle at least until Justin & Wendi have kids :)... Dac & Tay of course loved the pool & wanted to be there 24-7. We finally talked them into going to the beach for a little bit since that is what Carter wanted to do was play in the 'big sand box'...We went for a walk, got ice cream, went to the parkplayed basketball, volleyball, played mini golf Monday morning, decorated cup cakeslet Dac & Tay swim all afternoon & then had to head home for Dac's baseball gameKids loved goofing off in the bunk bed room for hours before bed... Gets a little crazy with Tenley when she doesn't want to nap anywhere but her bed or the car! We got taking so many pictures, that by the end of the vacation Tenley was saying "cheese" :)Thanks mom & dad for such a fun get away!

Willow Park

My mom & I took the kids to Willow Park. Carter had been waiting all winter to go to the "zoo" & see the monkeys. Since its finally been warm enough we decided to go. Tenley was a lot more into the animals than I thought she would be & Carter loved the monkeys & feeding the birds & fish...The huge turtle came right up to the fence & he wasn't so sure about it being that close!Then we bought a snow cone & went over to the park for a bit. Carter still isn't into the whole "park"- he'll go down the slide once or twice & then he's ready to go...Tenley loves to swing, but especially loves it when Carter is pushing her!!! Nice to get out of the house & go play while it isn't super super hot yet!

Splash Pad

The kids & I met Whitney & her boys at the splash pad this week! Carter didn't love it but I figured he kind of wouldn't since the water is so freezing! Tenley wasn't a fan either... Cub & Carter H. ran through it maybe a couple times but they had fun playing over at the park & it was good to finally get together with them again & let the kids play!!

Cub is usually a woosie pants when it comes to water & getting wet, so its good that Justin is getting him tougher :)Then you get this whiney face , "mom i'm freezin', take my clothes off"... 3rd Birthday Party!

We had a sports theme for Carter's 3rd Birthday!! He had been waiting all week to help me put the sports decorations out & help fill up the treat bags...He had talked about having a Curious George party but I wasn't able to find much George stuff in time...What a little ham-he was more into his party blowers & party decorations than he was even his presents...I had to keep telling him to open another present because all he was concerned about was getting his party blower to squeal!!His new huntin' coat from Justin & Wendi , & his new bike from mom & dad!Ever since we gave Rayson a marshmallow gun for his birthday, Carter had been wanting one. We finally gave in & got him one & he loves it just like we figured he would!My mom made his cute cakes & he was so excited about them!! They turned out perfect!He got tons of squirt guns -which he loves-we play with them on a daily basis, a sleeping bag, punching bags, remote control jeep, ear covers-very much needed :), clothes, coat, bike, anything & everything he could have wanted! THANKS to everyone!He couldn't grasp onto the whole peddling thing the night of his party but the next morning he woke up & was crusin' his bike around everywhere!!! He's one spoiled boy-But he is more than worth it!!! Hope you had an amazing 3rd Birthday Cub, we're blessed to have such an awesome little guy!

Dac's Birthday!!

Dac wanted to go to Fun Park & Firehouse for his actual birthday & of course Grandma spoils the grandkids so he got it :) Was a super fun day. Dac kicks butt at the games & always wins way more tickets than Tay & Carter. But all the kids including Tenley have a fun time there!Happy 11th Birthday Dac! 10 Months Old!

Tenley is 10 months old & is full of spunk. She's got a personality going on, thats for sure! She is doing so many cute things right now, we love this stage! She finally figured out how to suck out of a straw, moo's at the cows, can pull herself up onto anything & everything, says hi to everyone (limp hand wave & hiii), still has the huge adorable open mouth smile sits perfectly still while I paint her toe nails, talks lots-can say dada,mama, car-ter, dies, puppy-, loves dum dums, into everything, always on the go, mainly happy but not quite as content as Cub was as a baby, crawls around with stuff in her mouth -balls, trucks, toys-knows how to get mad when Cub takes her stuff now-but she's also very good at being a faker, will eat anything-including dirt & sand-,if we're outside it's almost a guarantee she's in the sand or dirt, very alert with everything-observernever quiet in the car unless she is sleeping, clicks her tongue & blows, when you say night night-she lays her head down & acts like sleeping, loves to swing, can stand up alone & will walk if you hold onto BOTH hands, still crawls funny (with the one leg out)wiggle worm when you change her diaper-has to have a toy-, she high pitch squeals when she wants more or wants somethingthrows the ball around to herself-will go get it & clap for herself, can do patty cake (pat, roll, throw), loves toys but especially Carters, such a good sleeper (naps twice a day & sleeps through the night 12 hours), likes to pull out the tv cord & have you get her cause she thinks its funnystill loves her blanky & binker. She is full of attitude but such a cute little princess, we love her big blue eyes, just like Carter's & her nappy hair :)She's too much fun but time is flying by way too fast!!! We love you diva-diva!!

We planned a camping/swimming "birthday party" for Carter, Dac & Tay over at Downata since all their birthdays are in June!... JP & Ricky got Dac to go down the black hole & then he loved it. We talked Taycee into trying the slide & of course she loved it too! Tenley loved the water, way more than I thought she would.We talked Carter into going down the little slide, I think he ended up going down it 2 times & that was enough for him, he might have went a few more times if it wasn't for me letting him go under on the last time I was supposed to be "catchin" him :)! He loved shooting baskets, just chillin' in the floatie but mainly the splash pad with warm water! Everyone swam all day from pretty much noon til almost dark-Nicole & kids ended up leaving because Dylan had such bad allergies. Justin's parents left their trailer at the camp ground so we were able to camp out in that, nice to have a quiet,comfy place for the kids to sleep! The kids did cupcakes, each one of them put candles in their own cupcakes & got sang to so they could blow them out. Then did a few presents..The kids spent the whole rainy morning feeding the horses, that ate at Brandon & Tracy's tent the whole night :) I think everyone had tons of fun, not just the kids! Very fun "birthday party" we will definetly be going back before summer is over!!! Got to swim in a warm pool & camp out all in one trip :)!

4 Years To Us!

Justin & I celebrated 4 years today! We went on a little get away to Wendover the weekend before. It was nice to spend some quality time together without the kids! We woke up Saturday morning & went for a hike, walked around "town", went to see Hangover 2 & then to a nice dinner. Makes you wonder why people would want to live someone like that! I did end up winning 106$ off of puttin' 2$ in the penny slot machine! Lookin' forward to many more years to come...Still happy as ever! I love you babe!

Hammerin' & Drillin' Holes

Memorial Weekend

For Memorial Weekend this year we went to Bear Lake with my family. The weather was kind of crappy but we had a good time! Lots of playing cards (phase 10 & never ending uno games) rhino rides-a little chilly, there was quite a bit of snow up in the mountains but still very pretty & we got to see some moose & deer! & relaxing! Kids had fun jumping from pillow to pillow while JP played pinchy toosh with Cub...Tenley kicks butt on this little 'bike', she scoots mainly backwards but sometimes forgets what she is doing & almost bails off!
Carter had a long, hard day of playing so by the time we got to dinner at Cafe Sabor on Saturday night he was pooped-He fell asleep eating his dinner...Love trips to Bear Lake & being with family!! What a fun weekend!

Carter De to a T

I can't believe Carter is almost 3- but i'm thinking since everyone thinks he is 4 or 5 it'll be a good thing to be able to say he is 3 instead of just 2. The smart little bugger! He is into a lot of things right now & is definitely 100% boy & can't wait for daddy to get home everyday- I think he asks "is daddy home" everytime I go up & down the stairs or open the back door, especially on days he knows we are doing something that night. This picture is so him, we trained him outside last summer & he obviously is still all about peeing outside :)...He loves chocolate milk-drinks probably a half of gallon a milk a day! He is very caring, always worrying about other people (where they are going, if they need or want something). Loves to play golf outside with daddy's clubs & can get it in the air & pretty far.Mickey Mouse-well it was Mickey Mouse a few weeks ago, now he is obsessed with George, the show & his George he likes to pack around with his 2 favorite blankets! He knows all of his colors & can count to 15 (sometimes higher). He LOVES to play basketball outside with Justin, he knows free throws, fouls, layups, out of bounds & will be sure to teach you how to play even if you know how already, he's actually pretty good too! He is all about rhino rides, even if its just around the block because its freezing-he especially loves when Tenley comes with. Those 2 are comical, they sit & make each other laugh the whole ride.He's into reading books again, we go to the library once a week & he chooses a few books & a movie. Loves to shoot his pellet gun outside at the birds, its official daddy has already turned him into a 'red neck' but I love it. He can't get enough of playing in the mud & diggin' for worms, thats his favorite thing to do outside right now. Anything that has "instructions" on it, he'll be sure to read them to you & let you know "how to do it". He's got I think every movement of Crossfit down & knows what they are called & how to do them. Muscle man!!Whenever we are in the car on longer rides he'll sit & say "mom, why we not makin' it" poor kid hates long car rides. Very good about going to bed, will let me brush his teeth & tuck him in, we usually end up reading at least 2 books. He is still shy at first but once he's used to being around you the "real" him busts out! He is 110% percent personality & stink, but is the most tender hearted boy ever!

Family Fishin'

We've had many family fishin' trips already this year & look forward to tons more. It's one of Carter's favorite things to do right now "ride out to the reseboir & go fishin'"...He loves to climb up & down the dirt hills, pick out the "perfect worm" & help dad put it on the hook, & rill his pole in -even when there isn't a fish on it. Tenley's happy just crawling around in the dirt! It's so pretty right now out at the resevoirs.Even though we didn't catch any fish. These are some of the best memories!!!

Mama's Girl

Tenley won't say 'mama' unless she is crying & wants me- but just recently we've noticed she is at the "anti-stranger" stage. The other day at the grocery store I left her in the cart for a minute & I came back to her crying & looking at the check out ladies like "uhh where'd my mom go". She wouldn't even let my grandma Cardon hold her, but when I had her she was just a laughin' & playin' with her! Secretly i'm happy:) I hope she is always a mama's girl!!!

Gettin' into Cupboards

Seems like Carter didn't pick up on the 'getting into the cupboards' til he was close to 1. Tenley picked up on it very quickly. Right as soon as she could crawl she was gettin' into them! It doesn't help that Carter thinks its funny she knows how to open & shut them cause he just eggs her on :)This is her "i'm a stinker" face she pulls at us when she knows she's being naughty, but of course she just keeps on doing it anyways! Love these kids!!!

Crawling!!

Little Tener's starting fully crawling for the first time on the 13th! Exactly 9 months old! It isn't a normal crawl...She leaves her left leg straight with it kicked out to the side like a frog to push off & puts her right leg in normal crawling position. It's hilarious. I've never seen a baby crawl like her before. She definitely gets around good & can "crawl" though...She's already started to follow us everywhere, mainly Carter!Time to bust out the baby gate!!!

Trampoline Time

After Oak's birthday party we rode out to my parents...Tenley got to jump on the tramp for the first time...She LOVES it! She just sat there & waited for someone to bounce her & tried to eat the little "worm" things off their trees that were all over the tramp! It's funny cause when Carter gets on-he wants everyone off, or for them to sit down along the side!Carter went on a 4-wheeler ride with papa, played crochet, fed the kitties, played in the sand pile & dug in the waterfall hill (all some of his favorite things to do while at their house)These 2 are spoiled rotten, especially when they are with their grandparents!! Guess that's what grandparents are for ;) ;) !!!

Oakley's Party!

Tenley's little best friend Oakley Tierney turned 1 on May 14th, so we made the trek down to her Birthday party!Oakley was 2 & a half months pre-mature so in "actual" age they are only a few weeks apart. Carter had a fun time playing with the older kids & helping Oakley open all of her presents!! Happy Birthday Oakley-we can't wait for tons of play dates this summer!!!

9 Months Old!

Tenley is 9 months old today! She weighs 24.8 lbs (95 percentile) & is 29 inches (85th percentile) -She's such a sweetheart & a very happy baby-just like Carter was. She has 2 bottom teeth & both on the top that are popping through. She points at things now & then jabbers like crazy. She can stand up to things but mainly still just goes to her knees because she is pretty wobbly from her feet! Whenever I ask her to say "mama" she says "dada"-she won't say "mama" unless she is crying & wants me. Loves her toys -tipping the whole basket over & digging through to find the ones she wants & reading books. Sits totally still while I paint her toe nails (just observes). Still does the one leg out crawl, Loves to be outside-anything outside but especially rhino rides *her & Cub "talk" back & forth the whole time & laugh* Loves to play in the dirt, eat it, crumble it. We finally got the high chair out & she loves to bang on her tray & jabber away to everyone while we eat dinner. She loves Carter's toys, anything that's "boy" & not her little baby toys- We love her 4 toothed, scrunched nose smile & can't get enough of this little DIVA!!! ((I promise we do get her ready & put bows on her, she's learned to rip them off *quickly* so it aint happening while we are at home-can barely get her to keep them on when she's ready!!))

Ten's 1st Bike Ride

We took Tenley on her first bike ride the other night! She LOVED it. Just a laughin' away, jabbering at Carter, clapping...She's so easy going, just like Carter was as a baby!Now that we've went on a few rides-Carter can either make the ride really enjoyable or really miserable depending on his mood. Half the time they are laughin away have a blast, the other half he is teasing her making her whine!!! That's what brother's are for I guess :)

Rhino Ridin' in the Basin

On Saturday for Mother's Day we went out to Justin's parents for a little picnic & long rhino ride up in the basin. The weather was perfect! Still a little bit of snow in the tip top of the mountains but it was sunny & jacket weather...so pretty up there!Dylan & Tenley playing in the rocks, one has a shovel & the other a stick, not sure how that was very safe :)
Carter & Shae had a blast playing in the mud puddles, lookin for frogs, "fishing" in the pond with their butterfly nets, diggin holes lookin' for coyote pups & just playin' together- They would have stayed up there all day!The day can never end without the guys doing something stupid...Of course both of them got stuck! Ended up having to get the tahoe!!...Then Carter was beggin' to plant carrots-you can't tell this kid anything if you plan on him forgetting about it (he has the best memory ever)...we'll see if the carrots turn out. :)Thanks "Grandma Skippy" for the fun day!!!

Friday Regulars

Every Friday night throughout the winter we tried to do "family night"..We'd cook dinner, or go out to dinner in town & then hit the bowling alley or "bowling aisle" in Cub's words. He LOVES that place. "huntin game, pool, pinball, bowling". He loves picking all of our balls out (color wise boy/girl). He's caught onto Friday nights & knows that is the day that daddy doesn't have to work in the morning & we can go out & have fun!!Justin & I are horrible at bowling we've decided-Now that it's getting warm our Friday nights are turning into cookouts, rhino rides & fishing!!

Cheap Entertainment

Getting new baby toys out always brings something new & exciting in the house while being cooped up this LONG winter! Carter is very good at coming up with "fun" things to do:) & Tenley is always such a good sport about it, at least for a few minutes...Having a blast-holding on tight!Then she gets burnt out of her rough brother & gives me the "save me mom look" like above. The very first time I took her out, there was no getting her back in, she arched her back like crazy & had had enough!! -Carter lives naked now days. I get him dressed every morning- but by 8 o'clock he's butt naked! What great entertainment I have everyday, I wouldn't change a thing!!!

"Push Ups"

Tenley's been doing this for about 2 weeks now & its seriously hilarious. She can't quite crawl but she definitely knows how to do "push ups"...Maybe she's been at Cross Fit a little too much ;) She even pulls the face like 'holy helk this is hard, I weigh too much to hold myself up like this"...She can make her way around, by scooting {backwards} or else she sits, reachs to grab something & then changes the direction she is sitting in. Her little personality is starting to come out more & more! She's too precious.

Tener's

*Whenever we try & help Tenley walk by holding her hands up & making her move her feet she just laughs {very ticklish}-She hasn't quite figured out how to move her feet when you stand her up to walk. She's really close to pulling herself up onto things, she'll get to her knees & smile & be proud & then sit back down!*She's really into Diesel right now. Whenever she sees him she instantly is all eyes on him & says "dog" over & over. When we get Diesel to do "I lovvve you" she'll sit & howl back at him to try & get him to keep doing it. Dies is so good with her, just like he was with Carter. *Cub always wants Tenley to lay on his belly- At first when she was a baby she'd just lay there & smile. Now she'll grab his face, smack him, pull on his lips, everything you can think of & he just lays there & takes it! They play so cute together, I love having them close in age they interact so cute! {Carter has gotten to the point where he thinks she is old enough to know better & sometimes he'll smack her back}*When Carter squeals or yells, Tenley has learned how to do it back. When Carter laughs at her, she thinks its so fun & she hysterically laughs back. *Right before she goes to bed she loves to sit & play with Justin. She'll say "hi dad" over & over, & if he isn't lookin at her for more than two seconds she is saying it again to get his attention. She'll sit & hit the couch, til he does it back. *She loves to feel like she is being dropped, she'll laugh & laugh if you drop her lower & lower to the ground each time.

Fishin' Day

On Thursday Justin took a half day to take Carter fishing-this kid loves his dad more than anything & even says he is a "daddys boy" now. *Even though he is totally a mommy's boy at night still* They went on a rhino ride, fishing, looking for frogs, threw rocks in the "reseboir", everything that Carter LOVES to do!One day Carter will look back & realise what an AWESOME, hard working dad he has!!!

Easter!

Easter morning we woke up, gave the kids their Easter baskets-Carter loves this "fart stuff" as he calls it. He thinks its the funniest stuff & had been asking for it for days! Tenley was content just playing in the eggs & trying to steal everything brother had.(everyday occurrence now)Found the hidden Easter eggs-the high ones were his favorite...He liked the challenge of trying to get them by himself...Then we colored Easter eggs..We've colored eggs {3 times since} He loved it & has been wanting to do it everyday...His favorite was putting the {sports} plastic stuff you melt around the eggs on, he thought that was lots cooler than just dying them a color!We also we went on a family rhino ride & my parents rode up to see the kids! HAPPY EASTER!!!

"Boys Saturday"

Saturday after the Easter egg hunt...Daddy, Jake & Carter went fishing. They didn't end up catching any fish, but they caught frogs! It was strictly a "boy day". They painted the trailer*Carter stuck with his one piece of wood down the whole trailer & when he got to the end he chanted "winner, winner, chicken diner"* went on rhino rides, shot their bows, got Jake's truck stuck {ended up gettin' to go on a tractor ride}...After spending a whole day with Carter, Jake thinks he is the funniest little kid around. Carter came home all dirty & had such a fun day! He is all boy!!!

Easter Egg Hunt!

We took Carter over to the local Easter Egg hunt this morning. It was his first year since last year it was snowing! It actually turned out to be nice weather & he thought it was so cool to see all the eggs everywhere..."mom, this is gonna be so much fun-look at all those eggs"... Waiting patiently for the hunt to start...He kicked butt in age group, I held his basket & he ran around picking them up...We let him get a few eggs out of the 4-7 year old group too & it was so funny because the parents couldn't help in that one...So he'd pick up one egg & say "look mom",pick up another, "look dad"-{trying to find us in the crowd} we kept telling him to get more but he was so proud of himself he had to show us each one he picked up all by himself!

Kiddos with the Easter Bunny- I thought Carter might have been a little hesitant but right when he seen him he said "mom, look at the cute Easter bunny, he's pink". Tenley wasn't afraid at all, maybe a little curious- she just kept looking up at him like "huh, what are these fuzzies on my face"... So fun making family memories, love these guys more than anything!!!

Comedian Cub

Carter is seriously so funny. Everything he says cracks us up. {he had drawn all over himself the other day with a pen} The other morning when Carter & Justin were making breakfast- Carter said he wanted 2 eggs, & Justin was like well I think only one egg will fit in your belly, lets measure our bellies & see...So Justin acts like he is measuring his belly & says "yup 2 eggs will fit in my belly" then he measures Carters & says "just 1 will fit in your belly" ....so Carter unzips his jammies & says "you see this marker dad, it says I can have 2"
About a month ago when we were going to the park {it was still snowy & muddy every where} I told him you can't go over on the slides because you'll get your nice shoes all dirty & his response was "lets walk back to the house, I'll put my snow boots on, then we can come back & i'll be able to play on the slides, okay mom" He is just so smart & catches onto every thing so fast. You can't fool him with anything-saying "its broke, its closed, etc" all those comments haven't been working for a few months now!
