April & May

4/13 Bowling. We went bowling as a family, probably just because Carter's spoiled & wanted to go. It was Tenley's first time actually bowling & getting into it.

4/21 Christina & Jake invited us up to Wyoming for a little shin dig for Christinas birthday! I was kind of hesitant about taking the kids with us (kind of a long drive) but Justin made it so fun for them with lots of stops along the way. First we went to the Ice Cave in Grace. Sooo cool. I had never even stopped to them before, but Carter was really into it & asked so many questions. Next was the Soda Geyser-shouldn't have parked so close, we had just washed my car & it had salt water all over it the rest of the trip! then we got a subway & let the kids play at the Soda park. It was perfect timing because right after lunch both kids zonked out for the rest of the ride! Tenley is still a little hard to get to sleep anywhere besides her bed, but she did pretty good & they had fun with Christina's kids! (I of course forgot my camera, so you get cell phone pics) The ride home the kids slept the whole way because they were so exhausted. Fun little get away for sure!

4/23 sprinklers- the kids have been playing in the water & sprinklers constantly this year. Tenley is one little brave girl & has no fear with the water, unlike Carter at her age. The neighbor kids will squirt her, & she just loves it. Carter is getting braver this year too & actually likes it & to be splashed & have water gun wars (last year he would just cry) Carter thinks its hilarious to tell Tenley there is a lady bug on the sprinkler, so she will run right up to it, little innocent her, & then he turns it on full blast in her face. -and of course she just runs away & laughs!
5/2 Park with oak- we met up with Kaci at the Ryan's Park. We hadn't seen them or played with Oakley in a long time, so it was good to get together & let the kiddos play! We sure miss them & wish they lived closer so we could play more often!!

5/9- Carter rode his bike for the first time without training wheels!! He sees all the neighbor kids on their bikes & wanted to try it. He did okay, he isn't so sure about dad letting go of him & having to steer. (not quite sure cause he's great on 4-wheelers though) But he did pretty good & Justin was able to let go of him after a few minutes of trying. He is kind of a scardey cat , not the typical out of control 3 year old. He doesn't like to be in confined spaces, he likes to be out in the open where he has more room to GO! He of course wanted his cowboy boots on, so he was safer :) He kept telling us "it's not me, its the bike that keeps leaning"

5/12 Health days parade- Any parade-we are there. Our kids love the parade, & the parade atmosphere-this parade is always nice because it hasn't quite hit the super hot times of the summer! Then we went to Oakley's 2nd birthday party over at Willow park, she's getting so big & her & Tenley are starting to interact & play, its really cute.,After the party of couse the kids HAD to walk over to see the animals at willow park. Every time we are in Logan that is their favorite thing to do, they could feed the fish & ducks for hours!

5/13 Mother's day was spent relaxing, I couldn't have asked for anything more!  Later that day after nap time we met my family at Sizzler for a late lunch! I love spending as much time with my mom as I can, she's amazing! Both our mom's do a lot for us, We're very thankful!!! Carter made me this cute card at preschool, on the inside her drew a picture of me pushing him on the swings because that is his favorite thing to do right now. He also painted the cute pot- He's too dang cute!!

5/17 This was our first fishing outing for the year & pretty much the last time Tenley will be invited :) She was sliding down the hill in the dirt, throwing rocks in the water. She can't sit still long enough to even try & fish! Carter really gets into it though, so i'm sure we will be going lots this year!! Maybe just the boys!
5/19 Brandon got married to Tracy, the kids were both in the wedding. Tenley was a flower girl with Taycee & Carter was the ring bearer. They both behaved, for the most part :) So cute! Congrats to them!!

5/20 We packed a picnic & headed up to Franklin Basin on a rhino ride, there were shaded parts of the mountains where there were still snow piles. So we headed back down & went on a hike. It was really pretty, lots of bugs & butterflies!! The kids threw rocks off the bridge, caught bugs, snakes & butterflies. Anything that includes the rhino & being outside, getting dirty. The kids are all about it!
5/23 Cub graduated from his first year of preschool at Groll's! He loved Miss Lu & i'm glad she was so caring & worked well with him. She thought he was going to kindergarten this year, & felt really bad for pushing him so hard. His class had a swim party, so dad was finally able to come & see what the swimming time was all about. Carter went down the slide with dad & Tenley was even brave enough to go down by herself & with mom! He loved his preschool & loved being able to swim & tumble for one of the hours! He is going to miss his little school friends until he sees them at kindergarten!!

5/28 Carter caught his very first fish all by himself!! Sitting right by him pole & seen he was getting a bite!! This little man is a fishing machine. He asks to go fishing every night. He loves to help dad get his pole ready, worm- bate on & all. Every time we catch something he gets so excited. "ohhh buddy, its a big one"
And Tenley was even still invited fishing :)!!

We had lots of fun in April & May. I just realized its almost July, we've had lots of happenings in June as well! So stayed tuned for June fun :) hopefully it doesn't take me til September!!
