Early bird Carter was up at 7. Found his Easter basket & a bunch of the "boy colored" eggs. After about 30 minutes he couldn't wait any longer to dig into it all, so we woke Tenley up. {which was a bad idea, because she was tired at church}The Easter bunny brought 2 shoes, an outfit, coloring books, chalk, bubbles, soap, little nick nacks & treats of course!
Then we were off to Church! Carter listens so good at his primary class -he came home & told us how he learned about Jesus being resurrected & what it meant! ...made the Easter day just that more special!
Of course they didn't want their picture taken together. {we were in a hurry} so this is all I got, them looking their best- apart :)
When we got home the kids were begging to dye eggs, so while daddy made us a yummy dutch oven, & steak lunch we dyed eggs! {I was kind of a downer this year so we only did 6 eggs each} they did 1 of each color & then put puppy & kitty stickers on them because that is the kit Tenley chose this year.
After nap time, the Easter bunny had magically put more Easter eggs out for ANOTHER hunt {this time outside}
I think the egg hunts are what the kids loved the most!!! They would sit out for hours looking for eggs :) With holidays, the kids get funner & funner as they get older! Hopefully next year Tenley won't be so terrified of the Easter bunny :)!
