Wrestling 2013

This year wrestling started off awesome.  He weighed in at 49 pounds. 1st meet was at Preston. He pinned both his opponents & was loving the whole situation! Pretty much everyone in the family came to watch & they were all so proud! (I didn't get a picture of his 1st pin, it was a girl & he pinned her before I got over to his side of the gym) Tough kid!!!

The next morning we were off to Bear Lake. We thought the meet starting at 9. Ended up not starting til 10, so we waited around for almost an hour & a half. There was a kid in pairings with head gear & a singlet, so right off the bat Carter was scared. He lost his first match & it took some serious convincing to even get him to wrestle the second kid. After some crying- he ended up wrestling & beating him!

The 3rd meet we took him to was at West Side. He was crying from the get go & didn't want to wrestle once we got there. Once he finally realized he didn't win a medal if he didn't wrestle- he wrestled the first kid & won. But then he wouldn't wrestle the second kid. They were still nice enough to give him a medal.
After that meet he had decided he had had enough for the year. He was always worrying about when the next meet was & looking way too into the whole sport. So we called it good for the year... He is such a tough kid but he gets nervous about not knowing the circumstances & gets so worked up, hes like sweating to death :)
We'll see if he wants to wrestle next year or not- We love him to pieces & he did SO awesome! We are SO proud of you Cub, you're one tough cookie!!!
